Stand as States Member
If you want to stand to be a States Member, you must:
Check your eligibility to stand.
Find two people on the Electoral Roll who wish to nominate you to stand. These are people who think you would make a good States Member.
Complete a nomination form and hand in to the Chief Executives Office at the Island Hall between Thursday 24th October 2024 at 9:00am and Friday 1st November 2024 at 4:00pm.
You will now be a candidate, hoping to be elected and your election campaign can begin. This is when you try to convince the people of the Alderney that you would be a good States Member and that you would represent them fairly in the States.
A 'Hustings' will be held at The Island Hall. It is an opportunity for the electorate to meet each candidate and ask questions.
